PPM VIP 2026: 30 years of shared success built on partners’ trust

As it does at the start of every year, PPM rolled out the red carpet for its partners at the “PPM VIP Appreciation Gala”, held as four major evenings across the country to thank pharmacies, clinics, and distributors for their loyalty throughout 2025. In Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, Siem Reap and Battambang, hundreds of guests gathered for dinner, entertainment, and a lavish raffle, with prizes ranging from everyday accessories to Honda Wave motorbikes and discounts on PPM products.

Beyond the festive atmosphere, the event gave PPM’s founder, Dr Hay Ly Eang, an opportunity to reflect on the ground covered in three decades. “Thanks to you, we have succeeded both nationally and internationally,” he said, noting that the company has climbed from 13th to 11th place among 600 laboratories in Africa. “Our success is not just about business; what matters is improving our country’s image and that of our products, because PPM has only Cambodia,” he stressed, expressing pride in seeing “Khmer products” contributing to the health sector abroad.

Dr Hay placed this achievement in a broader historical perspective, recalling that modern medicine arrived late in Cambodia and that PPM was founded in 1996 in a country that was only just emerging from decades of war and embargo. “We brought the survivors together to rebuild our country,” he recalled, highlighting the role played by PPM and later Confirel in economic reconstruction and in promoting national know‑how.

For his part, Tech Symo, PPM’s local sales director, was keen to underline the central role of customers in this journey. “These 30 years are not just a number: they are 30 years of trust, 30 years of partnership and 30 years of relationships woven with our clients,” he said, before summing up PPM’s key to success: “It is thanks to the trust that you, our clients, place in us today.”

Pledging to continue producing and supplying medicines that meet international standards, while expanding the range and keeping prices affordable, Tech Symo concluded by stressing that “PPM’s future is closely tied” to that of its partners. It was a reminder that behind rankings and figures lies a network of long‑term relationships that truly underpins the company’s success.
